All homework will be given credit and will count toward passing the class.

Week Nine due Thursday May 30th

also, please be aware that we will do a GED Practice Test in class on Thursday.
If you want to score your best, reviewing your notes and materials from class could help you.
Write your own Mnenomic (memory stategy) for the metric system
Here is a standard example: KHDBDCM = King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk
- this represents: Kilo, Hecto, Decka, BASE UNIT, deci, centi, milli
Your job is to write your own memory sentence using the letters as a guide.

If you did not get one in class, ask a GED Lab tutor and tell them you are in Heidi's class.

We had a percent quiz on Thursday 5/2/13 so...if you missed it, please make arrangements to take it by asking Heidi. Thanks.


Week Five STUDY for PERCENT QUIZ

QUIZ will be in class on Thursday
Study papers were handed out in class on Tuesday April 30th
Ask at the GED Lab for Heidi's Math 3 papers if you were absent
The quiz will go over all aspects of percents taught in class

Week Four due Tuesday April 30th

Write three types of word problems - invent them yourself. * Challenge - Can you make them creative?
Write a percent word problem and its solution
Write a percent of increase word problem and its solution
Write a percent of decrease word problem and its solution


Week Three due Thursday April 18th

The four pages for proportion handed out in class on Tuesday are due on Thursday.
Two pages were practice and two pages were answers.
